Hiring: Mechanic

We're hiring for a full time mechanic position.

Between Vanilla and Speedvagen we build about 100 frames a year, half of which we build into complete bikes with our own hand built wheels. A Vanilla will commonly be outfitted with integrated lighting systems, full fenders, custom racks and other non-standards. Conversly, Speedvagen is generally more of a straightforward build, but sometimes it has tricky details like internal wiring for bikes outfitted with Di2 (and soon Campy's electronic group). We don't expect to hire someone that possesses every single skill needed for the job, (and we'll likely  do things a bit differently anyway), but it is important that the person  that we hire is a solid mechanic, an excellent wheel builder, meticulous and passionate about making great bicycles.

The scope of work includes:

-Prepping frames post paint (facing/chasing, frame-savering) -Wheelbuilds with alloy and carbon rims. -Full bike builds -Maintaining machines in the shop -Packing and shipping -Parts ordering -Taking good care of customers on the phone, via email and in person

Benefits include:

-Paid Time Off -Profit Sharing -100% company paid health insurance

If you are highly qualified in the areas outlined above we want to hear from you. Please send a one-page resume and a one-page cover letter describing your level of expertise in the specific items listed above to:
